How is the game

Hi there
So I just find out about this game about 2 hours ago.
And i had a couple of questions.

Nr1: How is the gunplay, movement and so
I have see that there is wall jumping and trickjumper in games such as Unreal tournament and garrys mod, Is there any other movement mechanics (Bunnyhopping, strafe jumping, ect.)
Also do the mercs feel balanced and is the gunplay smooth

Nr2: Is pay2win going to be a thing.
Its going to be a free2play game so this question will have to come up will? will you also have the option to get certain cards ingame with out spending any money.

Finally Nr3:
Does the game look like it will have a esports scene behind it.
Im all for Pc fps games having a bigger esports scene.

As Nail said + there is no bunny hopping. There is long jump, wall jump and you can have some air movement while jumping. You can only do 2 jumps in a row the third will give small movement penalty as does the long jump. (load out card with “springy” gives you the ability to do 3 jumps in a row without penalty)

@1 Movement mechanics include walljumping and longjumping currently. Long jump is not unlike half-life1, you crouch before a sprinted jump that allows you to reach further, combined with walljumps you can make some pretty nifty tricks Nothing like bunnyhopping or strafejumping, but overall movement is fast and solid; and if you played previous SD titles you will find yourself at home.

Mercs balance is constantly changing. One build heavily favored merc X, while another merc Y. Overall, the balance is in a good spot in that any merc you play with feels overpowered one way or another. Gunplay is very fast, and rewards headshots. Some people complain that mercs vary in health, and with slight spread on all weapons headshots are not as consistent as in ET, but I find gunplay very satisfying.

@2 pay to win is not gonna be a thing

@3 only time will tell, the game is definitely developed with comp behind it, however i find such fast teamplay games less specator-friendly than CS etc.

What I would like to know is how much Dirty Bomb took from Brink - because in my opinion, the only issue with Brink was that it felt just plain wonky, and this seems much more solid in terms of it’s general mechanics. I suppose more specifically I hope that the classic Splash Damage style spy comes back in one form or another. And perhaps even the playdead command

people say its like brink because of the visual style. That is pretty much it though: game runs on a different engine, has a much higher focus on accuracy and headshots, and overall is a different beast
