How is mobility calculated?

(Press E) #1

This is something I’ve been curious about for a while, and probably should know bit don’t.
Is it a factor of the weights of all your weapons combined? I’ve noticed I seem to run at different speeds using loadouts with different weapons, but that could just be my mind playing tricks on me.
I know your currently equipped weapon is what mainly determines your mobility besides the merc, but do other weapons factor in even while they’re not equipped?

And what about abilities like the defib? Do they affect mobility, or is it the same as your melee weapon?

I would assume each character has a base movement speed in units/second, followed by weapons (and perhaps abilities) applying a multiplier of set value (e.g. Fragger’s K121 could have a 0.90x multiplier, and a beckhill could have a 1.20x multiplier).

defibs, beckhill and stiletto is 100% speed
Bat, Katana and Kukri is 97.5% speed

Base movement speed * mobility multiplier = Speed

For example, proxy:

450 (sprint) * 93% (shotguns) = 418.5
450 (sprint) * 90% (hochfir) = 405
450 (sprint) * 100% (stiletto, beckhill) = 450
450 (sprint) * 97.5% (bat) = 438.75

Base movement speed is recalculated depending on sprinting or not, and if you’re moving forward vs side vs backwards

You get the idea
