How is "Favorite Weapon" Calculated on the Stats Site?

I was checking out the stats site (Thanks to SD for getting the PC one up btw!) and I was wondering how the “Favorite Weapon” was calculated.

It looks like it may be based on “Total Time” which I think is the total time that weapon is equipped. (See screenshots below.)

The only builds I’ve played since the stats site went up (with their primary/secondary weapons):

Medium Engineer (Gerund AR, CARB-9 SMG)
Heavy Soldier (Gotlung Mini-gun, CARB-9 SMG)
Light Jack-of-all-trades (CARB-9 SMG, Belgo Machine Pistol)

I do make liberal use of Downed Fire but I think the fact that I equip my secondary weapon when I respawn in order to get myself to the objective more quickly may be skewing the stats. (That is, I fire my primary weapon more than my secondary, I think.)

I think (no collected data to support) that it’s based off of time equipped.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s time equipped. I tested it out once using the Kross and Galactic. I had more kills and damage, etc. with the Galactic, so I started using the Kross. Galactic still had more in everything except for time, and the Kross ended up on top. So then, I switched back to the Galactic and got its time back up, and it ended up back on top. So that’s basically the little experiment I did when I was wondering the same thing that you are.

Most time spent using a weapon. Same as Class.

used to be barnett with over 1000 kills now its the mossington with a little over 1000 kills

I’ll just going to repeat like the last 6 people did and say it’s based on time used.

Anyone else care to say it aswell?

BASED ON TIME! (Yea, I belong!)

However, I wish it was more of a combination of all the weapon stats. Like, compare time equipped to % accuracy, amount of damage done, Kills, and XP earned.

I think this would more accurately reflect the “Favorite Weapon” by taking into account switching to secondary to sprint faster and Downed Fire.

Pretty cool as a word goes. My wife (literary major and software manual writer) declares it is a valid word based on the connotation.
