So, I’ve heard that recently, things have been done to increase the games performance. Hearing that is amazing since my performance has been pretty bad since the update removing full FPS configs. However, instead of having my performance boosted, my performance has gotten the complete OPPOSITE. I was running around maybe 40-60 frames on my potato. Now I’m running 25-40, with 15-25 in firefights. Sometimes i can get an ok average of 30, but Dirty Bomb is a game that with low frames, gets REALLY “stuttery.”
How has the recent update affected your performance?
I average around 50 FPS because I’m running on an awful computer from 2010 (thankfully being replaced next month hopefully) and haven’t seen a difference in overall performance. Get occasional dips into 20-30 range but that’s only with really heavy effects and action.
Getting 250 now that I switched to an fps config. Was getting 144 pretty consistently before, but dropping sometimes to 120 hence the config.
I’m not entirely sure what they meant when they say “Reduced CPU load on dedicated servers by ~20% which should result in smoother games” but I haven’t noticed servers being any more stable than they were before.
Too bad they couldn’t lower cpu strain on OUR machines as well.
I don’t think it was meant to help the stability issues, rather the over all smoothness of the server.

I think the new anti cheat is the perpetrator.
Hopefully, SD said that some one is actualy working on optimisation. (more very soon).

Not really, still “horrible” performance (edit: minimum-fps) for this graphics and this machine, even if it gets a bit rusty in other games.
Average loads, CPU at 55% usage, GPU at 40%. Still OCing brings some fps? Probably just switch off the build-in handbrake.

Before said updates game was smooth and creamy…I live in PA,play on East US servers…ping 30ish…
Now…its like WTF happen,UsEast servers ping 70s,and play @ 80 ping? …
Avarage 70 fps since the particles were forced. My ping didn’t get effected in any way (24 - 48 ~ on EU Servers, which is fine^^)
Maybe slightly better performance improvement.
But lag compensation mechanics get worse by the patch.
My Rig is certainly on the lowend and while I saw quite a few performance improvements the last couple patches, the most recent one isn’t one of them.
I’m experiencing quite a bit of microstutter issues at all performance settings (including ini tweaks), that I think have something to do with the recent audio pass / changes.
There is a short audio distortion happening at the same time. Most often when Skyhammer planes come in. But happens in other circumstances aswell including normal firefights. Propably too much audiostuff going on now but I tried to limit audio channels and stuff in the ini, no change.
Otherwise no problems.
