this is just an idea, but how hard would it be to implement an image of a
bomber flying over the clients pvs when a fire mission gets called??
it would be just for eye candy, just for visual effect… but lets say when a
fire mission gets called ( only a fire mission ) and regardless if the player
called it or not, the server would send to the client to display a flat image of
an airplane flying over quickly, as long as the duration of the actual fire mission
sound gets played. even if the fire mission is not in the players pvs… like it
was called at the far end of the map, the client side would still show the
bomber going overhead ( the player would see it, if he/she can see sky…)
something like this,

which is just a simple image of an airplanes underbelly,

something that a client can turn on/off with a cvar like cg_render_firemission_plane 1 ect…
im guessing something like that would be impossible without the engine code?
