how export FATE terrain to GTK Radiant,
sorry for my english, Iam not native speaker
Thanks
how export FATE terrain to GTK Radiant
Go to “Edit mode” and select “export”
Name your file in the menu and push the “export” button.
Default dir is Fate.
Go to radiant and open your mapfile with your beatiful terraine
Ehr - by going to the export tab and exporting the terrain as a .map?
EDIT: Magic beat me. But his post shows that you can do it with a little common sense.
Hi it was my 1 post in 1st day of mapping.
Moving in Fate is done like in Radiant
On the finish on the right side click on rollout geometry and go on on export - click export map.
I promise to 1 human that I will make videotut on basic with FATE , but Now not.
I uninnstall Enemy Territory and GTK Radiant and Now waiting on New PC .
The “Edit Mode” is selectable in the side bar to the right… NOT in the “Edit” menu…
now this topic is bumped
is there any news on the development of fate or has it been forgotten about
thanks Shaderman
I think I will release some sort of unstable preview in the near future, so that you guys will have at least the map import to play around with…
Speaking of map import (which currently just shows your existing brushwork) – I am also thinking about the import of .map terrain brushes and converting them into fate terrain… does this sound like a cool feature to you, or should I skip that in favor of a somewhat earlier release date?
It sounds cool, but I should comment on it’s usage. I guess the texture painting is not ready yet, so people who painted a terrain Easygen probably won’t like to do it over again. Those who built a terrain by hand are probably skilled enough to use shaders. So only people who want to retouch a terrain and want to give it a new set of textures will probably use this feature.
If it means holding back on the new version, I wonder if it’s worth it. Of course, if texturing works in FATE, a broad public might like it.
thanks Shaderman Smile

any news on the gird optimizations when exporting, imo this is the one thing needed to actually make the tool realistically usable even in its early stage. FATE is already capable of producing relay great terrains and shapes in its early stage but you cant export it and get a decent number of triangles
