A’ight, so there’s been threads and discussion a-plenty about all those widowmakers we’ll be utilizing to spill blood all over The Ark with. But with several of those weapons bearing some really cringeworthy, pun-tastic names, I’d actually like to know what you think of those fancy gun labels the creative team came up with.
Guess I’ll be breaking first ground and throw in my own tuppence worth:
As we know, most of those guns are somewhat based on actual models and most likely supposed to kinda parodize their real-life counterparts. Works fine with guns such as the the Tampa which takes its design from the Steyr TMP. So far so good.
But what in the unholy name of the Makron were they smoking when they came up with stuff like the Hjammerdeim shotgun or, gasp, the Bulpdaun SMG?
Seriously, Bulpdaun? For those who don’t get the joke: Oh, look, it’s a bullpup design. Ergo:
Bullpup --> Bullp-up --> Bullp-down --> Bulpdaun. Ha ha. Get it?
Now for any normal human being with a life of his own this should be nothing to even raise an eyebrow at, but really, I haven’t seen such lame puns since Trans Fisher and Christopher Bee. AVGN fans who prossess Dracula’s rib know what I’m talking about. It fits the quirky nature of the game, but nonetheless, I feel kinda lobotomized now.
