How does the game actually calculate accuracy?

I always wondered because there are times where people seem to have pinpoint accuracy…hit me no matter what I do to evade but I end up with 5-10% or sometimes even more accuracy than them? Does it simply count fire or does it take into calculation when fire is near a opponent…

If the first I wonder if people intentionally miss shots while not in the line of fire to make it appear as if they’re missing more while their almost perfect accuracy can hit me anytime in any way…just to make it look like as if they’re average while doing…lets say something illegal…to trick the system.

I was just playing against someone who constantly was hitting headshots with a Hochfir and I couldn’t dodge a single bullet from them but the game only says he had like 25% accuracy (Lowest on his team).

I can’t help but wonder if players are intentionally tanking their accuracy just to make it look like they’re legit to the system…

The algorithm should just be shots taken divided by shots hit then turned into a percentage.

Some players shoot at things like the EV or secondary objectives. I think it’s supposed to just not affect your accuracy at all, but it could be that the game is bugging and registering it as a miss, therefor lowering their accuracy. Could also be that for some reason that person was messing around in the pregame lobbies, shooting randomly until the game starts. Though I can’t really imagine it affecting their accuracy that much.

It’s worth considering though, that the hochfir has a very fast firerate, combined with a large clip. You can miss a lot of shots and have it not really be all too noticeable. And if your merc was large and slow, he could have just gotten lucky with you.

Game takes your shots hit/shots fired for accuracy for normal guns.

If you shoot a shotgun once it adds every single pellet as a new shot fired and if any of them hit, as a hit. So if you shoot once with a remburg and hit 4 out of 8 pellets, it registers as 50% accuracy.

Overall accuracy is just the total sum of shots fired/shots hit.

If you shoot an EV, sideobjectives or a turtle shield the bullet is voided and doesn’t affect accuracy in either way, up or down.

If you shoot player made objects (turtle shield generator, healt station etc) it will count as a hit.

If you shoot a friendly player with ff on, it counts as a hit, but it counts as a miss with ff off.

Shooting downed players counts as a hit aswell.

If you melee an EV, sideobjective it counts as a miss.

Well in this case the guy was on offense so he wouldn’t be shooting at the EV, I was playing Sparks or Kira, and it wasn’t just me…he killed 3 or 4 people in a row with headshots in the span of about 10 seconds…

It could just be a case of paranoia but with such pinpoint accuracy I don’t see how he was only at 25% accuracy unless he intentionally tanked it for…reasons.
