I was wondering due to the matches i’ve gotten into in the past.
When I queue, I figure im being put into matches with players around my skill and/or rank, but it seems neither are true or the queue is based off my average k/d which is very unfair to my play style(I avereage around 4/12 embarassing right :c I play are very support heavy Sparks/Aura letting others deal most of the dps while i focus rezing and throwing med packs). And due to this ive lost maybe 10-12 games in a row due to no longer queueing with my friends and trying out solo queues. I dont feel it is due to the loss of communication between me and my friends as ive done many successful solo queues in the past.
I was a Gold 4 and each match I was put into in the end scoreboard I found my opponents to be a range of gold ranks with 1-2 unranked players (had a few cobalts at one point) per match while on my team its constant me as gold with 1 other ranked player and the rest being unranked. Due to this lack of skill on the team ill sit on the top of my team in score due to the amount of rezing I have to do as Sparks. Whereas when I get a team of players that can actually play I sit mid board playing my role assisting the team.
But due to these constant team balance issues I’ve been deranked to Gold 5 which seems unfair when I do my best for the team until the end bear in mind there is communication and attempts to shape things up mid game through changes in roles and tactics.
I realize not all of a loss is to be held on my teammates and that theres my own mess ups that happen but if im in a competitive setting should it not place me around my ranking and not with those who are unranked and/or a much lower rank than myself?
