How Does Team Shuffle Work?

How much do we know about how team shuffle works? (when you hit F5 and get the shuffle option)

Is it determined by level alone? Or does the shuffle also consider k/d ratio or avg score per match?

I’d love to know this too.

In previous games people were shuffled according to how much XP they’d received on the current map, which I think is a reasonable system but it’s not without its problems.

I also think we need to get into the habit of noticing the vote option when it appears and actually voting :wink:

Fuck that shuffle vote - somebody spammed that shit hole game yesterday and u can’t change the weapon when the vote is on annoying as shit…

Shuffle teams is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of.

If one team is doing extremely well NO ONE on the winning team will vote to switch.

What are you talking about… I would, every single time. And shuffle votes go through more often than not in other games when it is really needed.

However, I have tried it a couple of times in DB and nobody even noticed the vote. It has to become much more noticeable, or the community has to become more aware that this option exists (or both).

It should also be made more clear if (and how) your credits are being penalised because teams were unbalanced. If people see that making fair teams benefits them as well, they are probably going to be more eager to vote in favour…

The “can’t select weapons” bug needs to be fixed of course. I didn’t notice it because I have bound my weapons to other keys. Why isn’t DB using the F-keys for voting like every other game?

As for how it works, I do hope it simply uses the current map XP. Of course it’s not perfect, but it should be sufficient to create much more balanced teams in case one of the teams is getting hammered in spawn.

If a game is unbalanced, yes, I would vote it 100% of the time, whether I’m winning or not.
Why? Fair games are more fun, simple.
