Seriously, am I just too shit at this game to do good or is she that hard to use?
How do you play Sparks?
I find her better at defensive or covered offensive, if your in mid fight and people are shooting at down teamates i would do a short to middle timed revive and heal them when they get up.
Probably one of my favourite mercs, definitely my favourite medic.
Works great if you can land headshots. Is meh when you can’t.

I’m lucky if I can land body shots :’(
You need to have a frontline. If your team is full of cowards you wont be able to do anything. You need people who go in and die. Preferably behind cover, but that’s not nescessary as long as the enemy is too busy to finish them. You need people who throw slugs at the other team constantly. That way you have the freedom to expose yourself and zap all the people who die because of such an agressive playstyle.
If your team mates get scared once they get hit by a bullet and run towards you to get topped off, you and they will be useless to everyone.
Also, it goes without saying, Sparks can’t kill anyone (reliably). So don’t try to unless you find yourself already engaged. If you can run away, do so. Only shoot back if it’s a squishy merc like Proxy. Don’t even try to fight a Fragger, he has too much health.
She is easy to use as her intended role, supporting ur teams pushes is another thing. What exactly are you having trouble with?
Im a sparks main btw
I guess the easiest way to sum up what to do as sparks is to just stay in the back and take potshots at people, while keeping an eye on people whose hp is dropping too low. If someones hp is dropping, charge ur revivr and anticipate them getting downed so you can go for an immediate res.
The most important part in utilizing sparks to the fullest is to have good aim. If you’re not confident in getting headshots, just work on getting body shots, because taking 65 as any merc is not fun. Typically it’s either you headshot and get a kill, or you get a body shot and follow up with the empire 9. If you’re being attacked and am confident in fighting back, you just need to play corner games. Run around a corner while charging up, and shoot when they turn the corner. Proceed to finish with empire 9.
Other than aim, you want to be good at maneuvering around the map. Get used to long jumping everywhere. Know the map very well and what spots you can use to get around the map as quickly as possible.
Also, charge your gun when turning corners. This way you’ll be prepared to hit someone and secure a kill or to get a hit and run.
There’s only so much I can really type about sparks, but most of it is just experience tbh. Just remember that you’re a medic and that ressing comes first. So just be aware of your allies healthbars.

Moving to the merc forum.
Just spam her REVIVR as a sniper like all the MLG leet Sparks players instead of being a beneficial medic.
I pick between load out card with melee boost and the one with rev pack boost first… then i hide behind team and try to geal as much as i can with gun… (wont normally heal players with packs unless they are just destroying the other team) when i am in trouble i pull out med packs throw them infront of me and run for cover. I am not that great getting kills with her but shes still a fun merc
I don’t main Sparks but I’ve played her quite a bit with her 373 Companion Operative. Learning to maneuver effectively with a high-speed merc is extremely helpful. As a general rule of thumb, you should use her speed to travel between “vantage points” on your teammates.
However, there are times when you’ll be in the enemy’s face, as a matter of circumstances. Charge the REVIVR when rounding corners, and create distance, preferably in the direction of your spawn. A lot of maneuver-REVIVR-maneuver-REVIVR stuff just takes practice.
But if you find yourself close to an enemy who isn’t quite aware of you, following up a full-charge shot with a melee (cricket bat, for me) is a pretty devastating one-two. It’s fun.
