How do you play a game without menus?

Hey all!

On tonight’s Dev Stream we’ll be discussing what it takes to create clear, clutter-free menus in games, and also how all of these clever things hook up to our gameplay systems. Ducks will be joining myself on stream as we delve into the wonderful world of UI and programming.

What are the upcoming features, we will see in next update(UI features mainly).

Any chance to add server status compatible with steamworks, Is it only for Source-based games? (http://i.imgur.com/QMwCRoH.jpg)
Any chance to add in the near future team color values to shooterui file to change purple/yellow spectator colors? Purple is not the best color to read when stream doesn’t have a big bitrate.
Any chance to see a value in config file, that will allows to make minimap bigger/smaller? I’m not talking about zooming but scaling. It’s a known problem when playing on big resolutions.
What improvements are planned to Objective Status and round timer widgets for obj/stopwatch game modes?
Why some widgets in the HUD are skewed like Deathnotice when everything else is not.

Halfway through watching the archive and got to this part:

SoulWings: Will there be an option where we are able to customize in-game HUD elements in the near future?

If the frontend UI guy doesn’t know about upcoming frontend UI features that the community have been after for months/years then who does? I love you Dave, but this just smells of cop-out.

On the sensitivity slider 0.01 or 0.05 resolution please!

Also snapping would be great, at the moment if you try to set it as 6 (for example) you’d expect it to be equivalent to 6.00000(…), but in reality it may be 5.71654(…).

EDIT: Actually I may be wrong about sensitivity not having snapping, haven’t tested it for a while, but the volume sliders definitely don’t snap.
