by making a new waterfall texture and use that, since there are no waterfall textures with the game

You make a big brush that’s your waterfall and then on your water shader you put tcMod parameters. More info on this at

that’s drakir’s site (drakir.tk) he has a good shader manual if you need it.
Anyway for the waterfall the scroll parameter gives you the best result. Basically in your shader for the water you’d have (this is a shader you’ll have to make yourself there’s no premade ones from SD)

textures/mapname/shadername
{
qer_editorimage Your_texture_path //so you can see it in editor
surfaceParm noimpact
surfaceParm water
cull disable
{
map textures/your_texture_path
tcMod scroll 1 1
}
}

That’s a very basic one, you’ll probably need more parameters than that to get the right look for your water. If you fidle around with the scroll coordinates you can change the speed of the water depending on how you want it.

By the way I’d recommend using a patch for your waterfall so you give it a nice curved look.
