	surfaceparm nodraw
	surfaceparm nonsolid
	surfaceparm trans
	surfaceparm fog

	fogparms ( 0.09411 0.09803 0.12549 ) 3192
}

The shader is correct. So it should work.
How did you apply the fog in radiant?

(twt_thunder) #3

made a brush and putted the texture on…

I never made fog myself, but i suppose, if you make a brush, with a texture, the texture is only on the outside…

Try to make a smaller brush and see if you see fog.

My 1 cent

Btw( there is a value for worldspawn fogclip, google it :p)

The MLB Temple has a fog ‘pit’ at allies temple spawn
Try sniffing around on this website:

for the source file of the map to see how the MLB’ers did the job (or take a look at the shader)

I searched for it a while back ( like 2 years ago :D), since a certain update in ET they made it super ugly
fog just basically looks like a solid brush only if you are in it, then it’s kind of ok…

before the update it gradually fogged up.

I thought there is a topic somewhere that shows the difference, but can’t find it anymore.

so basically what I am trying to say is even if you get it to work it probably won’t look very nice or real

Only the top face of the brush should be visible and all other faces inside other brushes a little. Using two brushes side by side that use the fog will cause nasty cuts in the fog also, see some of the ‘Wolken’ maps I made.
