How do you know which direction Skyhammer’s airstrike falls in? I know it falls in a straight line, but is there any way to make it go a certain direction, or is it just random?

It goes perpendicular to the direction Skyhammer is facing when he throws the marker.

Think of it as a T-shape: you are at the bottom and where you throw it is where the 2 lines of the T come together. The air strike will then hit the horizontal line of the T.
