How do you feel about free rotations?

Free rotations are good but my suggestion is to focus more on 50k mercs for free rotation.

I would rather it was rotated more frequently. The current system can take too long to put a merc back into the rotation, meaning a player that wants to try one out can sometimes have to wait over a month.

Every couple of days would be ideal, it would keep the matches interesting. No matter which mercs are in the rotation, they are heavily used in pub play, which makes the matches very stale due to a majority of mercs in play being the same.

Randomised rotations for each player would be a good solution too.

I like the feature, It’s always nice to meet/try mercs. It helps to find a favorite(s).

I don’t really see the problem with the current setup, so I don’t think there’s any need to tinker with it.

I get why some people think rotation should be individual, so not everyone gets the same ones. It would mean less ‘spam’, yes. Well, maybe. You’d still get a lot of overlap, even if you had specific rotation ‘pools’ ( as opposed to just getting 3 random mercs ). Also, what’s to keep someone from opening several Steam accounts and always have access to their favorite merc? It’d be impractical, sure, and more trouble than I’d be willing to go through . . . but then, I have most of them already anyway.

Also - and I think this might be the most important thing - it wouldn’t be entirely fair. Suppose someone gets Fragger, Fletcher and . . . Sparks. Just as an example, you know. And you get . . . Arty, Sawbonez and, ahh . . . Proxy! Suddenly you get people complaining that they got these boring mercs ( the opinion of this hypothetical person, not mine ), while someone else got a bunch of OP stuff ( again their opinion, not mine ). Cue rage, allegations of RNG and P2W, etc.

I like the free rotation system perfect for new players to try out other mercs but I would like if it were only one merc on rotation

I think the current setup is fine but I also wouldn’t be opposed to people getting assigned 3 mercs sort of randomly (as long as it did a mini-rotation for them). But the current setup allows new mercs to go on the free rotation pretty quickly for everyone to do a try before you buy if you haven’t picked them up yet. The free rotation like what DB emplosys also works pretty well in a lot of other games too. So it’s fine as far as I am concerned the way it is but if it was tinkered with, as long as people could still try out new mercs soon, would be good too.
