I am having trouble wall hopping on Brink. I just got the game today and am loving it. I just unlocked lights but i can not seem to pull off a wall hop. Walls which seem designed for it, i just seem to slide along the wall (i don’t know if this is supposed to be a wall run or not). Any one have any tips or am I just doing it wrong?
How Do I Wall Hop?
While sliding with the SMART button held, you need to manually jump with the spacebar while the wallslide icon (center, bottom of screen) is active.
Or I’m sure whatever ‘jump’ button is associated with your controller haha.
Yes, yes.
I’m more active on the Steam forums, which is generally populated more by the PC users. I forget that it’s a big melting pot on other boards. XD

I’m all PC too but there’s been an influx of console players here lately - just trying to keep the peace hahah. Wasn’t meant to be snarky

There are two ways to do this. The first is to jump towards a wall(Aon 360) and then jump again once you make contact with that wall. The second would be to hold the smart button, jump towards a wall, and then aim away from said wall when you make contact. You will automatically wallhop if done correctly(its really easy).
Yeah I am on Xbox 360
It’s A to jump on xbox, so i need to go into a slide and then press A to wallhop?
I dont see why I should need to slide :S

You don’t need to slide for very long. Just long enough to have the icon that shows you’re on the wall. Doing it manually, at least on PC, is much quicker than using SMART.
It’s like Unreal Tournament 3.
Light body only
You jump on the wall and when you are close from it, point in the direction you want jump next and press the jump button once again.
With that technique, you can make multiple wall jumps from one wall to another and reach higher platforms.
I think he meant when you’re falling/sliding down the wall.
But no, you don’t need to slide (sprint + crouch) to wall jump. You just need SMART + Jump + looking at your destination.
