How do I use a weapon kit?

I’ve had it for a month now, and I really want to run around with a katana as Kira. It only shows a button bringing me to crafting, but no option to craft a card with a specific weapon.

Weapon kits limit the amount of possible loadouts you can draw to the preferred primary weapon. The higher the rarity of the loadout you want, the many-er the weapon kits you’ll need. From memory, I recall you need 45 weapon kits to craft a cobalt.

It’s 2/8/45 for Silver/Gold/Cobalt respectively.

In the crafting screen, on any of the rarities listed above, click the card on the left and it should allow you to select a primary. (You still need to pay to craft with Fragments and Credits/Crafting Kits.)

You cannot select secondaries or melees with weapon kits, so if you want to run around with a Katana, your best bet is to buy it from the shop in Bronze for 17,500 Credits or $3.49 (or your regional equivalent). I recommend the D44.

Any reason as to why this doesn’t work on bronze cards?

I have my theories, but I feel the need to preface this explicitly stating that it is pure speculation. I do not work for SD or Nexon or have any personal connections to anyone working for either. I hang around Raz and shoe.'s personal streams and that’s about it.

I assume it’s partially due to their original implementation on SD’s in-house servers. They were initially shown as being available as purchasable through the in-game store (with the best placeholder graphics) for real money. Because Bronze are available for real money, there would be no point in paying real money to reduce the randomness on something of equal in-game value. It also makes sense with the context of Weapon Kits, which are only usable on vanity loadouts (Silver+), presumably for the same reason.

I asked Exedore how many cobalts he’s made with weapon kits on discord, but he didn’t reply. :frowning:
