how do i pull maps out of pk3 ?

(rouvio) #1

the only file that came with .map is Gold Rush. How can I pull the *.map out of the pk3 /bsp… whatever ??

:banghead: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :banghead:

([rD]MrPink) #3

there are no .maps in the pk3, only .bsp, and since you can’t edit them, they aren’t worth pulling out.

(rouvio) #4

what - isnt there a convertor ? bsp2map ??

I downloaded one, but it wad very old (from quake1 engine) - so it gave me errors and couldnt complete the conversion.

Where can i find “updated” BSP 2 MAP ? :moo:

Try either searching this forum, or the q3map2 one. I am 100% sure the truth is out there, because I remember answering it myself.

I searched all over the forums u mentioned. found nothing.

please, b a pal, help me out here :drink:

(JIM_BOB7813) #11

Search for “decompile”.

(ziege) #12

I swear if this ‘searching’ lark is too difficult for half the newcomers here, how on earth are they going to handle creating maps?

(lennyballa) #13

Well, it’s just a tiny button, new peeps probably are blind

(G0-Gerbil) #14

Compared to the icons without names in Radiant?

Maybe this forum needs a ‘search for the search’ button :banghead:
