How do i play my map?

I want to run around my map to test it out and make things work… i dont want to just spectate… what do i need to do!?

you need to explain what problems you are having in more detail. Can you load the map and spectate but when you choose either axis or allied it crashes? if so this is a very common problem. Have you set mapcoordmins and mapcoordmaxs in the world spawn entity correctly?
Do you have the basic entities as described in many basic tutorials?.

well, when i start the game i type in:

/sv_pure 0
/g_gametype 2
/devmap mapname

then it loads it and it says in warmup… i pressed L but it stop responding…
I dont think i set the cords tho… im not sure how…

thanks got it fixed! turns out i only added a spectate spawn lol

Hey, concerning local host log-ons, I’ve been having trouble.
For a short time now, every time I wan’t to play my map I do the usual devmap, but the server never opens up. If I look at log, it always blocks on “Initialising shaders”

Yes I have a terrain shader. It has already refused to load because my shader wasn’t set properly. I fixed it, but now it’s back and I can’t fix it the way I did the first time :frowning: :disgust:
