How do I play 8 humans vs. 8 humans?

I’ve tried Big Teams, co-op, versus, etc. I keep getting matches that are mostly bots. What setting can I use to be bot-free that isn’t 5 v 5?

EDIT: This is on the 360, so I can’t select a server.

Its just by chance. As of late I get full teams. Just depends on the time of day.

I think this game has a auto balance so if you get some friends in your game and on your team other players will get directed to your game to fill the other teams gaps when they search. So I think…idk.

Is that cvar for real? You can have the filter list games with no bot players?

Is there no way to know whether the 15/16 or 4/16 numbers represent bots? Sometimes it seems the low player servers have full bots, sometimes the 15/16 servers have them. And there is no way to know if a bot is actually a bot or not [the ping bar shows up for bots and humans alike for me]. I don’t want to spend a game figuring out if someone is human or not. I want human only games.

NO BOTS.

I think Bots have a little human icon at the side where the ping bar is dont remember tho

On PC, I haven’t found anything that shows whether someone is a bot or not. Usually a single word name with a capital first letter and the rest lowercase is a bot, but this is obviously not always true and a ridiculous way to require us to “figure out” who is who.

Humans have Green/Yellow/Red ping bars next to their names. Bots have a icon of a person.

On PS3, a little person icon represents a bot and a ping bar shows humans. I’ve noticed the lag has subsided, and one match I had about 4-5 people on one team, and only 2 on the other. Didn’t seem very balanced :confused: But at least lag is gone!

I play online to fight against real people. I don’t care how good AI is I want to know that when I kill someone their cursing at me and want revenge.

Please add a filter to consoles for bots or no bots.

I’ve had all but one match today full 8v8 no lag on 360. Bad players on resistance but no lag. The one exception was 7v8 but laggy so I bounced. It’s out there keep trying! =p

look for servers with no bots in the name ? there used to be a few.

This is the problem I am having too. It is for the 360 version not PC. I have been loving this game and been nothing but supportive. But after doing all the campaign missions and getting even the versus achievement I am rather sick of playing with 90%-100% bots. I only see myself playing this in tiny bits until I can actually play with other humans players -_-.

I think you can put minimum humans to maximum in the settings when starting a server. No cvars, it’s right there in the menu.

For now the only bloody way for human v human on 360 is 5v5 and you must pick ‘Competition’ settings.

That’s the same on PS3 too. I think the point someone made above about having a group of friends forces the game to direct people to you is valid.

Maybe the trouble with this game is there are so many parameters the matchmaking struggles to match people with the same parameters sets?

They really need to fix the lag fast because the 4v4 thing is garbage. Simply because it doesn’t always end up 4v4.

Example. Last night on container city it was just me and 7 bots on resistance, vs 7 humans with a bot. So I ended up being spawn camped the entire 15 minute match. I ended up with most kills from randomly firing the lobster around corners and hitting all the crowded bloodthirsty idiots. But the match wasn’t very fun.

Bots are no match for humans, and the randomly imbalanced matches are terrible.
