How do I get loads of XP per game?

I’ve been wondering how some people that I watch on YouTube/play games with get so much XP per game? I only get about 3000 XP per game. Any advice for a kind of new player?

If you’re playing a Mercenary with an ammo ability (Arty, Skyhammer, Kira), make sure to be giving out ammo all the time, it keeps your allies guns full and gives you lots of XP.

Complete objectives, plant C4, destroy the EV, all of these kinds of things grant XP and win matches. If you’re playing an Engineer (Proxy, Bushwacker, Fletcher) this is especially relevant because the team will be relying on you for the increased speed at which you can complete objectives.

If you’re a medic always be looking for people to revive, they’ll show up on the mini map as + symbols so I tend to use that to make sure no one is downed near me.

That said there are a couple of Mercenaries that just won’t get as much XP as others unless you can get high Kill Death ratios, like Nader, Fragger, Vassili, or Phantom.

Bottom line is learn what your Mercenary’s role is and then work with that. And always prioritize the objective over kills (obviously you need to get kills to do objectives, but if you have the choice of chasing down an enemy in an alleyway or providing covering fire on C4, prioritize the C4)

Repairing / destroying objectives gives tons of XP. Also support XP is really easy if you’re Skyhammer or Arty. Just keep dropping tons of ammo crates, preferably with a direct hit on your team mates.

If you then make a couple of kills too, you can easily get 5000+ XP per Objective game.

Earn those badges! They give a lot of xp and it’s why you see some people several thousand points above the rest. Kill streaks, last second defuses, revive chains, etc.

I got 3 tips. Even though they are pretty useless by now, due to all the other people answering to your question, I would like to provide them to you.

[left][list=1][] Only play with mercs, you control. I am able to play Skyhammer. I probably only get the 3000 XP… When I play Vassili I play a lot better, and will be around 7500-9000 XP each game… Tip: Even if your team has no Medics
(= Aura/Sparks/SawBonez) or (= Fletcher/Proxy/Bushwacker), don’t worry and definitly don’t force yourself in a class you can’t play. Surely DO try out new mercs for a decent time, to get used to it.
[] 250 XP with Arty if you use 2 atillery on the EV on Chapel for example… Use “Objective Monkeys” to get some C4’s planted or defused and EV’s repaired quicker than any other class.

Start hacking, you will get tons of EXP/credits, even if your team sucks.

If you’re doing that, with a skyhammer, throwing out ammo and saving your airstrikes for the EV, you should easily get 5-8k per game, even with a low amount of kills.
