How do I convert ASE to MD3?

(G0-Gerbil) #1

Trawled the net and came up with a proggie called Npherno’s MD3 compile.
Utter pants, all texture info is lost. After trawling a bit more, I noticed that Chavo One had the same experience with this program so I’m kinda glad it’s not just me

So, what am I doing wrong, or what alternatives do I have?

I’ve got Max, so if there’s plugins that work, links etc would be cool - googling showed up nowt but dead links for importing ASE, and at that point I just kind of went ‘grrrrr’ regarding finding an MD3 exporter for it!

check out deep exploration, comes with a trial period i think…

sock posted this link a while back somewhere…

EDIT:
should add this… basicly it can load an .ase model and export it to different model formats, however directly to md3 is not available… but to max is i think, and quite a few others… so you can export it to what format you want and work with it in your favorite 3d model program.

i made an ase and exported it to max… but i loaded that max model up in milkshape to work with it there, since i find milkshape to be flawless and quick and painless at exporting an md3.
