there was a program that would generate one for u, i think it was called terragen.
Yes - great prog to make your own skyboxes.
And when following a tutorial its very easy to make your own.
You have to generate 6 bmp files and name them in a spesific order.
Ill see if i can find the tutorial i used.
You have to know the coordinates to generate the bmp files and how to name them.
I think this was the one i followed - in the first tut i used the naming was wrong - this one should be ok.
thank you both
i will give it a shot!! and @magic…you were right…it is adicting…
Here’s a pretty detailed tutorial for Terragen.
You can always look for ones that people already made for other games - there are a ton of them out there for Quake 3 that are ready to be downloaded.

Good Luck!
thanx mr lego, i’ll look trough it…might find a skybox i could use…
(love the easy way out…)
There is also a program called HDR shop. Take some pictures of sky or something, and it will generate 6 images for you. Optionally, you can then blend a terragen terrain render (I recommend you learn how to use Terragen 2) into your images.
I learned it from here:

Search there for the tutorial movie…
Really simple!
