What he means is… when u create a brush, then right click -misc - misc_gamemodel or misc_model and import an object, you dont actually see the object… instead u see a small rectangular box.

I also need help on how to fix this. Cheers.

(because i made a model on cinema 4D and exported it to .obj… now i dunno how big the model is in GTKRadiant :stuck_out_tongue: cos the box is so small)

edit: Ahhhh i found out  lolz Put the model files in the model folder on ETMAIN.

yeah your probs are the fullpath (as said by azerot94 )

you prolly see this in the value part of your entity window:

e.g.:

you want to import a bush

you see this

 C:/Program Files/Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory/etmain/models/mapobjects/tree/bush1.md3

you must have this:

 /models/mapobjects/tree/bush1.md3

this should do the trick. (do note that some models have missing shaders)

grtz

Yeh im struggling with this… how can i put textures onto the model? Im doin it in c4d then exporting to wavefront (.obj) but i still cannot see the texture :O.

Thanks

You need to UV map it just like any other model. Which happens in the modelling program. Same thing with the path, you can’t have full path. Usually radiant says that can’t find shader… when you load it. There you will know if the path is right.

Btw does ET even support .obj? I’ve always thought ET supports only .md3 and .ase. I know that radiant supports many format since it’s used for many games, but have you been able to load .objs in game?

ofc! uvmap… damn i have no understanding of that :stuck_out_tongue: Lisen is there a program… where u can put the the textures on the model individually and then when you are done, you can convert the textures into UV Map?

And yes in GTKRadiant 1.50 you can impport OBJ’s  I got my model in there fine with no textures… just that the model needs to be placed in the models folder of ETMAIN.

Cheers

Yes I know Radiant CAN import OBJ’s. But will it be able to be opened by the game? Or does q3map2 trick it?

yeh i think it will… i was gonna test it out but UVW mapping dont work… can someone help me out here? i have already made my uv map with the textures on it… but how do i get it to appear in GTKRadiant?
