How about a Event with old DB maps

Okay so I was wondering Dirty Bomb has never provided an event with a new map,Most of the events are like based on getting a new trinket or some like art competition,Now I know you guys are working on the 1.O Release ( which I would love to know the release date of it ( please don’t say at the end of this summer) ) but how about organising a new event for a limited time which will feature the old maps that you guys have reworked on,Why not add a new mode just for a month to enjoy the old maps,Now one of them could be the reworked terminal, underground and maybe more or maybe the looks of the map 2 years ago,Like Map of Chapel year 2015/16

I know it sounds a bit odd but it will give a insight to new players how the maps used to look and how much the game have developed,Also I really wanted to play at the old terminal. It’s not the reason I hate the new terminal map,It’s just I would like to see some sort of event that includes mapping

Would really have liked old London Bridge, basically the same layout as Oasis from W:ET with the EV escort being the last stage at the end. Old Chapel would be fun for nostalgia’s sake but it was a bit of a grind and chaotic mess, especially inside the Chapel. I do also miss old first stage Terminal.

Idk about making it a limited time event. Downloading several large map files only to delete them later is kinda eh, although it probably wouldn’t be that bad.
I’d rather see them added to the rentable server pool though, then you can have a reason to actually play them.

You kidding? There are a lot of people who preferred old Terminal or old Dome, and they’re hardly rare. Thing is, even pre mofo update versions of maps really weren’t that bad at their core. They had already existed for quite a while, and SD tried to make sure they were completely playable, which they were.

Hell, sometimes people just want something different. And for a lot of DB’s playerbase who’ve never seen those old maps, it would be. Even the old dockyard blockout could be fun

Either way, what’s wrong with temporarily bringing them back? Or just bringing them back for rentable servers? The people who want it have it, it’s something different, and the people who don’t want it don’t have to play it, I don’t see the issue there.

Those old maps had their issues don’t get me wrong, but in a lot of situations SD completely reworked those maps rather than doing one or two tweaks. Because of that they play out as a completely new experience. And it isn’t like the new ones are perfect either. New Trainyard is still pretty attacker sided once they gain momentum, dome is still too large and has awkward cover, etc

Devs know we want this they already said probably not gonna happen as they spent alot of time on revisions.

As much as i hate them shooting down this fairly popular request as i too want old maps, i can see where there comming from. If they returned old maps they would have to suport them and fix glitches which im sure they wouldnt want to spend resources on.
