How about 2v2 3v3 4v4?

Hi there (mercy my english)

the most fun i ever had with any games was when i played with my friends only. connect to teamspeak and if 2 more mate up we just went to mirc and looked up for 3v3.
today most of the game force you to 5v5 which not really gonna happen if you are not in school anymore. friends are working and doing sh*t. mostly 2-3 friend online and you are forced to play with random players. even if we can go as 3 or 4 next season its still gonna be 5v5 with some random.
well i can make private server but still need at least 5 people and i cant even inv the enemy team.
it dont have to be ranked. i dont even need cerdit for that. i just want to play with my friends only in my team against another team. we had a few min on pub execution 2v2 with my mate in the same team and it was awesome.
we need a option to play like this.
also a chat to find teams, to find the war. discordapp is a good place for that. just need a “war” text channel and thats it. “3v3 pcw on” if that says anything for anyone :smiley: good old days…
so what do you guys think?

Most likely Never happen at least what im gettig from shoes posts. But cant blame him it costs time and money for servers.

Though would be nice to have a p2p connections for trusted friends that dont need a central server. Or a lan mode so you could play with people on same same network.

Private matches? Certainly, they need improvement(s), but at least the option is there.

Now regarding OP’s topic, I’ve never heard anyone wanting this feature other than for casual play with friends. Even with the 5v5 Ranked servers, people are complaining about how it doesn’t fit into DB’s roster (you need at least 2 medics, and an engineer, that only leaves two spots for strategies, as far as I know). Any number lower than 5v5 would only consist of a medic an engineer, and maybe a fire support, leaving the meta stale.

However, I do understand the appeal, and if you still like this setup, guess what? Dirty Bomb already has this feature! Just uncheck all your server filters, and you’ll find a bunch of empty servers. Wait for someone to join, then call up your friend to join in. You’ll have those 3v3s you love so much for about two or three matches before the opponents leave or the server fills up.

so i should not wait for any official option for this.
i get that DB built for 5v5 and 6v6 but cant it be still fun? on smaller maps ofc.
objects are placed in 1 arena even if the map is bigger. 3 player can still roll out this DB playstyle. bit forced but you pick what you want. you only get 1 more place in 5v5 if you need 2 medic. in 3v3 one is enough. and once again it dont have to be ranked. it would be just an option to play as a team with your friends when you cant fill up a 5v5 and dont want to play with random ppl.
solution could be easy from my point of view. i dont know what it takes but sounds easy.
as you guys said there is always some empty servers. why cant we use it for a while? lets say for 1 round you can set map, mode and password. so you can make a war if you find another team against you. or something like this. the game could find another team against us and just throw us to an empty server like ranked does. i dont even need credit for it just let us play without random players. cause 5v5 is rare to be honest. or its rare only for me?

i dont know about anything under 5v5. at that small people could just stat pad there ranks and cases. so cheating the system without scripts would be easier.

For private matches it would be fine, you already don’t get anything from them. Just not actual servers

You need at least 5 players to host a private match I believe. Really there’s not much of a reason it should be limited at all.
