horrible fps on gtx 560?

To put it simply, i can’t get my frame rate anywhere above 25 fps.
I have tried patching it with an update, although i’m not even sure if it was the patch which was supposed to address framerate issues. ended up uninstalling and reinstalling, only to get the same horrid performance.

I have tried disaibling ambient occlusion, which i was told would make a huge difference. Didn’t to squat.

The only way i am able o get it to run acceptably is by lowering the resolution to a pathetic 800x600…

It’s a real shame, because despite all the mediocre reviews, i think this game looks like a lot of fun. The SFX are actually some of the best sounding gunfire noises i’ve ever heard in a video game, but maybe that’s just me…

Anyway, does anyone know IF or HOW this can be fix’d?

No, it’s just that everyone is already posting about this subject in this thread.

It would help if you posted your system specs, CPU, RAM, OS, etc. Also, make sure VSync is disabled, it killed my FPS until I turned it off.

yeah. need a system breakdown. specs please. what cpu mainly and dual/quad core etc.

560 is an ok card so you should get ok framerates. maybe not all the eye candy

Not for nothing but I have a gtx 560 ti and get 60 fps and buttery smooth with v-sync enabled 1920/1080 everything on full except AO which is off.

You guys are not saying what your CPU is so…meaningless comparisons.

Sorry, I didnt read the help tech forum at 1am and didnt respond in 29minutes. I apologize!

My EVGA 560 Ti FPB runs with 120+ on low config. Or stable 60fps with vsync on max settings. Both in 1920x1200. That with a 2500K.

Whats your CPU, RAM,… Care to post a dxdiag?

I’m not sure who these “guys” are. I didn’t post any specs for comparison and neither did Smoochy (though if you check his sig. you will see his what his CPU is so…)

ExtemporaryAlias was the only one to actually post that he also has a gtx 560.
