He is a typical internet hater. He just can’t stand the fact that there are people out there who like this game since he has deemed it garbage. So, he HAS to get his point across and attack people who don’t agree with him

You haven’t built a gaming PC in over 15 years, and you’re gonna build one for BF3?
I’ll be going with a brand spanking new alienware with top ram/gpu/cpu/psu/cooling and whatever else. I want no bottlenecking, nor do I want to have to deal with tweaking this or that. Max settings single/coop play, prime settings multiplayer, end of story.

So you’ll be buying a massively overpriced computer for 1 game?
His PC will cost less and be way nicer than yours; plus he could just buy one of their cases off ebay if he really wants one for the pretty factor, lol.

Uh, no way. I know how to build a PC. I’ve built 100s of vid-cap PCs piece by piece when I worked for a digital video capture company that recorded live conference/events. Alienware is great for rich people or spoiled kids, but I can build a badder monster for less.

I’ll definitely be buying more than just BF3 on it. It’s just that BF3 looks so amazing, it’s worth getting back into PC gaming for.
I like flight sims and strategy games like Civ5 too. Should be a real life waster.

I wasn’t talking to you, lol; I meant he’s buying Alienware which is known for being massively overpriced just so he can play Battlefield 3. I can understand upgrading for your favorite game, but I can’t understand why you’d go with Alienware ever. The cases are pretty, but that’s where the good things end, lol.
I know you were talking to him, I just wanted to state that I too am not gonna buy Alienware and I wouldn’t waste $2000 just to play one game.
It’s like when I waited for the PS3 to drop. There weren’t that many exclusives at the time I really wanted to play. Once Killzone2, God of War3, and Uncharted 1&2 were all out, then it was time to buy. My PS3 collection isn’t very big, but I’ve got about 15 games that are mostly PS3 exclusives.
The original press release said that it was “planned for June”. Obviously they missed their optemistic deadline due to onforseen events (maybe the lulzsec hack had an impact? maybe the stats site gave more integration issues than it should have?) but they did get a pretty large patch out and the DLC is in the pipeline and out of their (SD’s) hands now.
Any delay at this point is likely to be Microsoft or Bethesda.
There were no firm promises of a June release. The only people that claim that are forum posters that were making a guess / misreading the press release.

OR OR OR…You spend a day or two finding good pieces for a computer, waiting another 3 days for them to ship to you (unless you buy them from a store, but newegg is the way to go) and build it yourself.
Voila, you know have a better pc AND you saved money.

But alienware are pretty. If it wasn’t for the price I’d totally go for an alienware.
My PC is pretty bog standard. Black case with some blue lights that shine out the side that faces away from me. And I had to disconnect a fan because it made a horrible noise (I leave that side open anyway so no heat issues). And when I got it the morons who put it together didn’t know what “Dual Channel” meant so I had to reseat the memory (and they called themselves “experts”).
/shrug. It plays games and I didn’t need to sell a kidney to get it.
