Hjammerdeim

Anyone else notice the little bug it has with it’s ironsight?
I’m not sure how aware people are of the fact that it misaligns itself, but it’s really starting to get on my nerves.
I couldn’t find any topics on this so I have no idea if SD, or anyone else for that matter, knows about it.

I noticed it but didn’t report it.The weapon is so weak anyway, even after the patch it makes no sense to use it.

In fact the whole heavy class is pretty useless in my opinion. All weapons of it do not compensate the slow movement speed and minor health incrase they get.

Yeah, I’ve noticed it. I’m not bothered by it though, since I never use the iron sights with the Hjammerdeim. I only use it when I am playing operative, it’s really good for that.

Most importantly, the damage on the heavy weapons generally seem quite weak. It’s silly that a light and a heavy can square off with their respective weapons (neither with buffs) and the Heavy doesn’t nearly insta-kill him. Not to mention it’s also stupid that a light can knock the heavy over in the first place.

Actually if you compare the statistics of my three most used weapons (see attached pic) you will see that the Gotlung Minigun has done more damage, made more kills, and racked up more XP, relative to total time used and accuracy, than either the AR or the SMG.

Are you playing the same game? Because I whole heartily doubt what you’re playing is Brink. Post patch, the Hjammerdiem is easily the best close range weapon on the game. Without a buff you can bring lights and mediums down with two shots, and heavies with 2-3, and with a damage buff it’s OHKs for all. On top of that, as a solider with APR, you’re dealing even more damage. Same goes for all the other heavy weapons. Either you have no idea what the hell you’re talking about, or you have no idea how to play as a heavy. Either way, your statement lacks even the slightest bit of validity to it.

This is what I was thinking too, the auto shotty post weapon balance patch is a destructive force. I can easily take down tight groups of 3 to 4 people even online. It’s really the main reason I even have a heavy. The gatlung does insane damage now but isn’t something you should just be running around with because you will get gibbed unless you take the time to spool up first… but I do have a heavy soldier/engi that uses a gatlung paired with an AR w/ underslung GL. IMO an AR with drum mag/weapon shield is the best primary weapon for a heavy, the auto shotty with weapon sling is borderline OP for people who use it in the right situation and so is the gatlung.

The maximus and chinzor are pretty good, but considering you can offhand a autoshotty while using an AR with weapon shield I don’t see the point in them. I’m thinking of switching my soldier to use the autoshotty too, but that means I’d never get to use the gatlung on any character. A weapon buffed and kevlar buffed soldier has a 1 shot kill with the autoshotty and takes 20% less damage on top of being a heavy… honestly I stopped using that class like that because I felt like I was abusing a weakness in the game.

My favorite class in the game USED to be a medium soldier with gerund/underslung GL paired with a tampa/sling… but post patch it feels like nothing beats the heavy medic with Rhett/weapon shield/drum mag and a autoshotty/weapon sling in the offhand for sprinting lights using carb9’s.
