The hitsound look really weird. I know it’s not the principal thing to change but I think its doesnt cost much time to change it. If you can put the HitSound from ET would be really really really nice. Cheers
Hit sound
Well aware they are placeholders, but better hitsounds will aid in hit perception and possibly makes giving shooting related feedback easier.
Is it possible to be close to the ET hit sound ? That sad SD crew dont own their “own” sound :’(
Yeah, I agree the hit sounds definitely need some love at this point in the game. If we’re suggesting hit sounds from other games then…Quake 3! =]
One thing i’d like to See asap is a command to adjust hitsound volume. currently i have them turned off as you only hear dind ding ding and other shooting from the side can hardly
be heard
I think Dirtybomb should still develop their own hitsounds for this game, obviously better than the placeholders we have right now… i don’t know how or what they could do to make DB hitsounds appealing compared to previous games, but they should try create a unique sound that people in the future want to say “import DB hitsounds into new game y”.
Obviously an additional option to import hitsounds from other games of our own choosing is also preferable as many of us love them from quake and ET games.

agreed with this ! I love the Quake hit sound but something new can be cool
On the subject of sounds. I think SD should let founding members go to their studio to record some “merc” voices!!! On my way to London right now, see you in an hour.
The only sound bite I can imagine you saying is “Get a move on you slags, time’s running out!” hahahah!
They will get a rework in the future.
