Hit damage feedback

We have been discussing with a few good folks on the TS and the damage output is kind of hard to get feedback on. I mean we have the visual marker, but I never focus on it because my eyes are tracking other elements of the game. From my old days in Quake 3, I can remember the hit beeps’ pitch going down according to the HP level of your enemy. It would give direct feedback on the damage and hp level of the enemy at once.

Could we have it as an option ? For both body and head shots ?

If you ask me, I would rather have plain simple number coming up what tells the damage I’ve dealt instead of current visual marker. Bodyshot and Headshot sound markers are OK but I would say upon headshot the marker around crosshair is tiny too big. :stuck_out_tongue:

in your options menu you can scale the size of the hitmarker.

Knowing how much HP the enemy has and how much damage you’re inflicting on them are two different things.

I’d like to see either a volume change or pitch change based on damage dealt, this way I can have an input stimulus for such things whilst playing without having to manually test each weapon individually, try to remember all their different falloffs, then apply this knowledge during a firefight.

Yep, even better ! I cannot rely on visual information for this, it takes my focus out of the action. Proof is I never remember using the visual indicator for this purpose…
