There are two big things that negatively affect my own experience with this game currently.
1. The quality of the servers and the server browser.
-The server browser isn’t showing real time data.
-It often displays wrong player counts, or other false information, and usually the ping counters aren’t displayed at all.
-Servers are sometimes going completely nuts with ping, and sometimes they boot every player on the server.
2. The inconsistent level of gameplay.
-A direct result of mixing low level players with the veterans.
-This is a sure way to make the game unenjoyable for both of these parties.
I say this with the best intentions, but for when you plan to release the game to the public, you will have to cater to both your veterans, and the new players, not one or the other.
You’ll also have to either:
A.) Allow people to host their own servers, so it takes some load off your back.
or
B.) Do big investments in servers.
There was a certain other F2P shooter, that attracted a crowd of 30k ish, when it launched, but their servers went over capacity, for several days, right at the launch, and most people couldn’t play the game.
I don’t want to see a similar fail of epic proportions, with Dirty Bomb.
