Hiding names in Ranked matches

I think they should implement something where they hide the enemy teams names before the match starts so that people who know a person on the enemy is an op mlg boss master sergeant shooter master sergeant They wont just leave because they know they’re op. Just saying.

We should’ve separate Ranked mode sub section I guess.

I highly doubt this would be good way to deal with an issue that spawns from individual player’s mindset. If they’re the type who gives up for name alone (without actually seeing how good synergy they have with a completely random team around), will just give up on the next thing down the list;

Seeing some enemy be decent with Fragger and get 1 multikill nade? Enemy dealing with 1st objective in record time? Heck, even seeing Cobalt skin start some peeps legs shake.

Instead they should show everyone’s ranks in the end of the match. Then one would have that “ach, no wonder he was so good, he was insert rank here” moment.

When i said when they saw the name i meant because they’ve played against them or with them before and they dominated in that match and they think they’ll dominate again hense the reason for not displaying names.

Btw what is ranked considered under in the forums?

I understood right in that case, and my opinion remains the same. It won’t deal with the issue. People quitting when seeing the name and recalling how they played previously, will just find the next thing to quit for. Let it be higher rank, higher k/d, first multikill in a match, fast time for 1st objective on the map,…

Besides, I do want to see the names of my teammates and opponents in terms of transparency. We would also lose the ability to identify good opponents and teamplayers just because some chickens leave, which they’ll do anyway.

E: Oh, and also no idea where this should belong, I ain’t moderator :smile: But I guess this is best fitting since we lack proper ranked mode subforum.
