Henschel Trolleybus

(Pegazus) #1

Hello. Long time since I have released a model around here so I thought it’s about time. :slight_smile:

Today we are looking into Trolleybuses. Henschel was a popular german vehicle brand back in World War II. Producing planes, tanks and last but not least public transport. 1940 was the year when Henschel finished and published the new trolleybus named Henschel-SSW-Obus.
Sadly due to World War II, Germany focused more on military power so the numbers of this product were quite low. However it’s look and style stood out from the rest of transports, so it quickly became loved by public.

You can grab the model currently from this link here.

Thank you Paul for a permanite link here.

The website www.hot.ee/smmapping will have the link up too (with new links to the old downloads, due to license problems) shortly.

Comments & Suggsestions, as always, Welcomed :slight_smile:

Notes:
Big thanks go to Chris for me using his prefab of Ruined Street for making the scene. Map file can be conveniently found here here.
The advertisement of Brink is not on the downloadable version, like you see on the images.

Hi Pegazus,

Unfortunately the link doesn’t work, but the pic looks great :smiley:

Thanks for the site link, not come across that one before. There are some very nice looking models there.

(masterkiller) #3

Very nice model Pegazus :slight_smile:

edit:

(stealth6) #6

cool stuff!

(shagileo) #7

Another win by Pegazus !
Great job, fits perfectly with the tram model in that/a street setting.

Is this model a static prop or can it be used to drive around ?
Is editing of the bus side texture allowed to add custom ads (like the one you used with Brink) ?

(ischbinz) #8

didn t have a look to the model now - but most details are realiced with textures?
does the electric taker follow the electric wire in curves?

(Pegazus) #9

Thank you Xterm1n8or and masterkiller.

Thanks Paul for the link, especially since I currently don’t have a server to host my files.

Thanks Stealth6 :slight_smile:

Hehe, soon with all these models someone could make a nice city map :slight_smile: Don’t you think Shag?
It currently is not escortable. I never thought anyone would want to do that haha… It will be fixed by today.
Yes you can modify The texture in any way you like.

@ischbinz
Yes. Most details are on the texture.
No, I could make it into a separate model, so it is turnable. But it’s going to be a real hassle to get it accurate.

Thanks for the comments so far :cool:

(twt_thunder) #10

looking good pegazus:D any chance for some vietnam models?

(Wezelkrozum) #11

Nice bus. Fits the environment perfectly.:wink:

(Paul) #12

You can put the link in head post if you want, I won’t remove it anyway :wink: No problem with traffic or something so go ahead. Hope to see more of your models soon :smiley:

(aaa3) #13

screenshots are very dark, but seems there is a general deteriorating trend in there; coming from the wip thread with the again mostly unseeably dark pics of trail.

this isnt much a problem, except having to dl all 1 by 1 and make them viewable lol. so it is much a problem :stuck_out_tongue:

pics & test map are beautiful & absolutely amazing, however. [too bad i can only say this now (1 mins and many clicks later) and not right after viewing the topic ^^]

also good to see that ure eventually going to get back access to ur site. that shit was quite suck ;(

p.s. henschel was most famous of its steam locos (<-- awesomeness) <-- i mean steam loks in general not h’s ones before being pressed in2 aircraft mfgring (or idk)

@thunderpwn
Thanks. Well I hate to make any promises, but I’l keep you posted :slight_smile:

@wezel
Thank you

@Paul
Thanks, will do that.
Just in case I have uploaded it to another file hosting system.

@aaa3
Well, I did not really want to alter the screenshots in any way with Photoshop to make them brighter. :slight_smile:

Thanks :cool: Comments like these keep me wanting to make more.
Yeah, the site thing is strange. Luckily I have it back now in full control. Making updates slowly here and there.

On a side note, I can’t seem to export tags with my current Blender, taking a deeper look in there, must be a silly mistake. So the update version is still in the waiting. Grr… :frowning:

(shagileo) #15

Take your time, there’s no rush. All great products need time :slight_smile:

(nukits) #16

Hi, another nice model by Pegazus :slight_smile:
Nice work ! keep up

(masterkiller) #17

hello,
I try to make a test tag this week and because im sick of mapping, i made a map too :stuck_out_tongue:
This is not the best map you can see (i little bit flat) but i did it this week for fun :smiley:

I need to change the wire on the top a bit of your model because when the bus turn,it was not looking good. Now it not to bad i think :stuck_out_tongue:

Superb work Masterkiller!
I like the idea and it’s lovely to see the trolleybus move, I think i’l suggsest this map for a server host I know.
:stroggtapir:

Edit: Forgot to mention, the damaged texture is awesome :smiley:

(masterkiller) #19

Thanks you Pegazus. It cool you like it :smiley:

I test whit 2 friends last night and they both told me that will be great if we can go in the bus :stuck_out_tongue:
This is not easy to do right? …

I have a question for you… Whit blender, can you importe a .map file or an ASE models to convert into md3?

edit:
