Helping up Instead of defusing BUG!!!!

(estakin) #1

I have had this happen to me a couple of times Proxy dies on c4 defusing… I go in try to defuse… the only option i get is to help up downed merc on top of bomb even tho i can clearly see the bomb and my cross hair is on it… it seems to be covered up by the downed characters invisible hit box?

any one else?

Would be awesome to get this fixed maybe so when a downed player dies over the bomb they get moved to the side slightly?

That seems like a good suggestion.

This needs to be fixed badly.

Try to move a bit away from the C4/Body, they increased the area in which you can defuse in one of the recent patches so it should still trigger the defuse but not the help up anymore if you get a bit away.

Yup, that’s an interesting idea. This does not happen very often but I’ve experienced a couple of times situations where, no matter where I do position myself, the only thing available was to help that bloody donkey expecting a revive in the most critical place. Bomb should have some kind of bubble where ragdolls/downed teammates are pushed away. But this would create some serious bugs on its own :/…

OR

People just have to learn taping out when necessary.

That or they could just make it so the bomb defusing has priority so if a player is on a bomb and you are staring at the bomb it will allow you to defuse it rather than get up the player but if you look away from the bomb but at the player still you can get them up

this wouldn’t work tho because if your a medic and theirs a proxy dead the smart move would be to revive the proxy to defuse the bomb! the easiest thing i can come up with is to have the downed mercs rag doll off the bomb and drift off tot he side slowly to a stop if they land on it! if this is possible!

You just have to look up a bit to defuse. They changed the defuse box in the most recent patch. If you’re crouching and staring straight down into a body you might do a help up instead of defuse. Basically, change your habit in this situation and it’s fine. However, I do believe that a defuse should be given priority always.
