The only time I’ve had problems such as that has been when my computer is running like shit, 100% disk usage.

Check that, restart etc.

Ok, I managed to reverse-translate this encryption. It goes something like this:

“Everytime I try to switch mercs in my squad, it won’t actually show up as what I’ve chosen”

No idea about what any of this had to do with verification or caches.

First make sure you actually switch your mercs, I suggest doing it from the main menu and right clicking the mercs on the top right and pressing “change merc”. Also make sure you own the merc.

If it doesn’t show up still, try contacting customer support

You know what would be funny? If OP actually forgot to buy/have the merc in free rotation.
