I know i shouldnt be probably asking here but can anyone help me on how to build a map because i have great idea and i kinda know what to do but i dont

Well my idea is basically a big bridge with a arc in the middle and on either end of the bridge there is a building with two storeys and behind the building there is an area where you spawn i will draw it on a birdseye view on paint. post back in about 1/2 an hour

No mines going to look different the arch at the centre could add some more element to the game because you could climb on top of the arch and there is a little wall you can go prone behind the wall and lob nades over and stuff like that and at the side of the bridge there will be catwalks and stuff and on the bridge im going to try and make some cars and vans (demolished ones or explosive ones dont know yet) that you can hide behind and i’ll put some fog on so you cant see all the way over to the other side and on each side of the building will be a set of stairs and that say a mobile MG42 can set up on and get people on top of the arch. Well all this is in theroy anyway im going to try my best and have only 2 weeks to do so i better get on with it

erm ive just donr the basics on my map like the bridge etc and wanting to test it out i put in
/sv_pure 0
/devmap bridge
then it said this map is not for starting a campaign or along those lines sitch to game mode 2 so i tried
spdevmap bridge
thwn it said single player not enabled what am i supposed to do???

I’ve done that now i relaised just after i posted that one so i tried that and then it said connecting to local host and then just froze up :eek2:

I’ve got a problem when i try to load up my map it says
“MAX_PATCH_PLANES” what does this mean?
