help with cutting the walls in a map

how do you cut a wall :banghead:

With the clipper tool.

Select the brush you want to cut. Press x to turn the clipper tool on. Use the left mouse button to place the start and end points of the cut. Then press shift+enter to perform the cut while keeping both sides of the brush.

Actually, if I remember correctly (I haven’t used Radiant in a while) you press <shift>+<enter> to alternate which side of the cut you want to keep, and press enter to cut. Also, you can use <ctrl> and <left click> to place the starting and end points.

I suggest you read the topic labeled “Sticky: ET MAPPING RESOURCES AND TUTORIALS” if you’re new to mapping.

Press X to start the clipper tool. Click in a 2D window to place the points, either two or three. Press Enter to crop the selection. Ctrl + Enter will select the the alernate side of the clip line. Ctrl + Shift will cut so that you keep both sides.

Play around with it, it’s the best way to learn

Maybe this tutorial might help. It is a graphical rich explaination of the different options available with 2 point cutting.
