Help with a simple .map question.

Dumb question, but I can’t seem to find the obvious answer.
I know that goldrush.map comes with Rad.
Am I or how can I load radar.map?
I am looking to alter the objectives but not the entire map.

you’ll have to decompile it first (search on ‘decompile’), however, when you decompile the map, you will lose a lot of information which will force you to 1) redefine structural vs detail brushes, 2) realign a lot of textures, 3) reinsert any misc_models, and 4) a bunch of other stuff that is laid out in one of the other posts

if your looking to alter jsut the objectives your probably better off trying to find a small tutorial someone has made that has a single returnable objective, then copying it and changing the names. just alot easier in my opinion. i forget where to find it tho.

Yes, it also depends on how you are trying to change the objectives. Something simple like making it only requiring capturing one radar part would be a simple .script modification. Other changes may require modification of the .map, therefore requiring that you decompile the map

Ok, thank you for the replies.
What I ‘plan’ on doing is altering the radar objectives and the truck into something else, but still holding the same properties. Just cosmetic changes.

Then you will need to decompile the map - IMO, a lot of work, maybe 50+ hours of work, depending on how good you are, for a cosmetic change.
