So triple credits for this weekend but my db wont launch. I have tried reinstalling and running steam as an admin, none of it works. Any suggestion? @RazielWarmonic @stayfreshshoe

We have had reports of players circumventing this by disabling AVG or adding the entire Dirty Bomb folder to an exception in AVG.

@RazielWarmonic When I right click the icon for db there is no compatibility tab (I’m on windows 8)
I am not saying you should use compatibility mode.
Dirty Bomb runs fine on my Windows 8.1 machine at home, so I doubt that is the issue.
Again, if you have AVG, disable it in your taskbar, if not please contact customer support in the link above - they can walk you through the steps better. ^^
Well my dirty bomb is broken I contacted customer support nothing works, no viruses, game cache fine, reinstalled, etc. spent $40 on this game and now this. Please work on this for some future update then maybe I will be able to enjoy this addicting game. For now I’m done thanks for the help.

have you done what was said, did you disable your antivirus and try again, no one said anything about compatibility mode
I did all of that and everything customer support told me to do. Disabling a avg was one of those things.
dumb question from a N00B… I just want to clarify a piece of information. Did you disable AVG in the advanced setting section of the program itself? 
I deleted avg totally now it works fuck that shitty antivirus thx everyone srry for being salty!
Putting the entire steam folder on the AVG exception list worked for me. - Alternatively, make sure windows firewall is disabled entirely: AVG will cover it. Check your network settings also, to see if it’s somehow related to your wireless carrier not liking DB. - Otherwise, I dunno.
…have you tried turning it off and then turning it back on again? (its a joke. ‘-’ )
