Hi guys, i am new to this forum and to making maps for ET. Before making my main map i need to start off with a basic map to get the hang of it but then i will get into bigger things. Right now all that i have done is made a map thats just a empty box thingy with no texture or anything and the guy cant even move or anything. Now i am trying to add some textures like maybe some walls and a mini house for spawnswith a couple of doors but i have no clue in how to do this. I read a couple of guides but they didn’t specify my problem. I need to know anything that is needed to make a complete map.I am really looking foward to making maps and i dont want to give up so if anyone is willing to help me i will put my best foot foward and will acknowledge any information given. Thank You

Hi JrodKilla. Welcome to the Splash Damage forums and to ET mapping. There are a lot of resources here and topics to search through when you are looking for specific answers. There is also a “sticky” topic ( http://www.splashdamage.com/index.php?name=pnPHPbb2&file=viewtopic&t=1710 ) with tutorials and other resources. In addition, Flippy is putting together a beginners tutorial with things that are not always contained in other tuts ( http://www.splashdamage.com/index.php?name=pnPHPbb2&file=viewtopic&t=15260 ).
You may also want to check out the map sets put together by eb that are actual maps with source files so you can see how they are made from ingame and from Radiant ( http://www.spyjuice.com/ld.htm ).
Another tutorial that you might want to look at is http://www.pythononline.co.uk/et/tutorial.htm.
Sorry DC9 your adress of 2 Bit tutorial doesť work,

Thanks Kic. The period at the end killed the link, too much ingrained grammer :disgust:
