Help in explaining some of the CVARS

Hi
Ive been quit recently making new server.cfg and i bumped into few cvars that i either dont understand or couldnt find any info about him. Could you help me out in here please?

set g_useraxisrespawntime 0
set g_useralliedrespawntime 0
set g_spawntimeMinPlayers 0
Ive got them all set to “0” value but i dont get it. Does this cavar set ONE spawn time for all maps youve got with your campaigne despite the fact every map has its own spawn-time settings?

set g_simpleBullets 0
g_noAttacklInvul
Have no idea what is that : /

g_flushItems
//Description

Hym…does this mean that if i drop the weapon on the hill then it will stay still? I mean, that it will not slide down from the hill.

team_maxIsPercentage (New since 1.2.7)
Indicate if the team_maxXXX cvar values are calculated as a percentage of the amount of players on the server. Example: When set to 1, and team_maxShotguns set to 20, while 10 players are on the server. A maximum of 20% of the players (per team) can use a shotgun, which results in 10 players / 100% * 20% = 2 players per team.

Well, i would like to ask You whatd YOU think of that…isnt this happen to be a cavar for time-limited servers ? :slight_smile:

Originally, this was put into my server.cfg file but i couldnt find any info about that.

There was one cavar for setting the supply stations (you know, with ammo and health). That is, setting how fast this packes should be replenished. I couldnt find such cavar. Do you know which one is that?

Set spawntime for axis and allies for all maps, so value of 15 is 15 seconds respawn on all maps (using them in a mapconfig can make it map specific)
0 is disable

set g_spawntimeMinPlayers 0
Taken from NQ wiki: (NQ 1.2.7 specific cvar)
Sets the minimum number of players needed to have full (map default) spawntimes. If set to a value > 0, and there are fewer than “g_spawntimeMinPlayers” players playing, spawntimes get reduced automatically. When set to 10, only 10% of the original spawntime will be in effect with only 1 player on the server (2 players 20% and so fort).
Note: This CVAR has no effect when g_useralliedrespawntime and/or g_useraxisrespawntime are used

But I’ve heard that it’s a bit buggy

Enables or disables simple bullets. Simple bullets is a new method for handling bullets, designed to produce faster code.
Note: We may change the default in future versions. Give feedback in the forums of enabled g_simpleBullets 1.

Removes a player’s spawn shield if they start to attack before it wears off

This means that med packs and guns etc act like normal (realism) when you drop a weapon on a 30 degree hill it will lay under an angle of 30 degrees. In stock ET they always are straight I think.

This would be if your server varies from 4v4 to 10v10 then you might want different settings for the two cases.

The amount of time, in milliseconds seconds, that it takes for the ammo/health pack stand to recharge one pack

I’d advise not to use the percentage stuff, like so much percent of people needed for panzers etc… Since it’s quite an annoying setting imo. Suddenly you just loose your panzer :frowning: stuff like that kinda annoying.

Guided Rockets, you can steer the rockets by the direction you are looking at.
Fun: slow rocket - about walking speed… and walk your rockets

Homing Rockets, The rocket does follow its target

g_antiwarp , better leave it

Engineering Level 4: Issued Flak Jacket
Only the most expert Engineers who have proven their ability to survive on the battlefield are issued with these expensive Flak Jackets which provides the player with 50% damage deflection from explosive weapons.

g_landminetimeout - dunno probably removes landmines of a not active player -e.g. disconnected/spec.

Hym, i used to play at one server where you could make complaint after sb tked you. I looked through the wiki but havnt found it…After the tk you get vote message of either to make complain or not. And after such, lets say 6, complaints this guy is kicked from server. Do you know which one is that?

I have one another cavar. I looked through the cavars mentioned on shitstorm but either i didnt find it or i wasnt able to understand i proprely.

I mean such cavar that let you pick up every weapon whatever the class you are. For egzample that you can pick garand while being Medic.

I’ve heard this works perfectly but some admins still set g_useralliedrespawntime and/or g_useraxisrespawntime.

As crapshoot mentioned there is a build-in help for admins which is quite comfortable. Check out g_antiwarp 2 with latest NQ - in case of snapshot issues (green part of lagometer) the correction is much faster.

hehe well back in 1.2.7 a friend of mine was trying that spawntime cmd and it was doing all sorts of stuff
anyway I guess it works now then :wink:

The nqhelp cmd is fantastic! I’ve been using it this evening and it makes life ALOT easier!
