Hi i’m new to the forums and edting maps too but i was just wondering if someone would help me how to upload my map i know you need a script but it confuse me so help would be aprecate it.

Erm - where do you want to upload your map to? The Internet?

Or when you say upload do you mean compile?

No i mean like playing it on the internt with people i read the turtuls but i still did’nt get it guess i’ll read more :banghead:

:???: i made my map my arena file and everything and i used wordpad to write my commands and after that i saved it in ET main script and it tells me theres an error and it does’nt work can someone help me :frowning:

Well it would help if u told us what the error was.

It just says Error nothing else i think i’m gonna start a new map with a new script but if it fails again can someone take a look at the script and tell me the error help would be aprecated :notworthy:

I still am unsure of this uploading - do you mean people being able to play your map over the Internet?

If you others to play your map then you have to submit it to a site like

www.rtcwfiles.com - or similar sites for ET - or

You could make your own website and have your pk3 file available for download there

Thirdly you could leave an ET server running with enable downloads ON so that ppl joining your sever will automatically download your pk3 file.

Also - this error - where does it appear - in ET? in Windows?

What do you mean by “i saved it in ET main script” - Do you mean etmain/scripts?

Also if you dont speak english try asking a friend who does to post messages or use a translation website to make thing a little clearer

:banana: I speak french and english but i was born in canada Quebic thats why i have a bad grammer sorry but thnx for the help i was asking how do you i play my map with other people on the internet thats it and the Error occurs in the window anyways thnx got your help :drink:

Then you will need to distribute your map (pk3 file) with all who want to play it.

So get it hosted on a file website
