hey guys again just a quick question. how do i open maps in Map editor? I mean like what file and how

(acQu) #2

Ok, NOW i go with stealth. Dont even try mapping :stuck_out_tongue:

LOL!! that’s not very nice of you. Although i can understand your response.

Ontopic:

Press File -> Open.
Now you can open Goldrush.map in your C:/program files/Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory/Etmain/maps

Since GTK automatically puts it in.

LOL i was talking about how to open a map like fuel dump ect.

(acQu) #5

Yep you did

(sQynor) #6

Afaik Fueldump and all the other original maps besides goldrush are not included in GTK radiant. So you have to download them yourself. I got no link for you. but Bing can do the trick.

(acQu) #7

Yeah ok i will be useful :stuck_out_tongue:

Here is link to the files which dont come automatically with Radiant => http://www.splashdamage.com/node/257

Please don’t PM me and open a topic at the same time…

pk3 files are a bunch of files and can in far later in mapping.
bsp files are compiled maps and can’t be read by the map editor
map files are source files and that’s what you can edit.

for further questions try using the search function first and the tutorials we linked in the last topic
