Just signed up on here and thought I’d post a thread.
I’m an ET and RTCW player who also played Brink at Gamescom 2011 in the final of the ESL championship and just wanted to try and ensure that the same mistakes are not made with DirtyBomb that were made with Brink.
Brink was a very good game but lacked the basic things for competition such as no selfkilling, no statistics, no demo recording, third person spectator view only, no pausing, etc, and bugs such as nade shooting making it impossible to have normal firefights. These minor things that could have been fixed easily, ended up killing a game that had a lot of potential.
I hope that DirtyBomb does not go down the same route and that the game is built for competition and the developers listen to the community.
The cups and leagues will be played at the start no doubt and there will be a lot of hype when the game comes out but it’s up to you guys to maintain that
Thankz,
Kamz
