Hello!

(3Suns) #1

Hey!

Just joined at the beginning of February, and I dug deep into the Brink forums, so I didn’t even notice these threads until the other day. Been enjoying myself immensely over there, however. Lots of humor, some heated debates, incredible support and approachability by the Splash Damage crew. Really good stuff!

Umm, let’s see. I play on the 360 with my three sons (we have four Xboxen in the Man Cave). I use the computer at work, and in an effort to get my students interested in modding etc., picked up some SouceU accounts with all Valve first party games. So, I play a little Team Fortress 2 on the PC as well but even there, I use a controller. LOL

PCs are cool, but for many reasons, I need to do my gaming on a console.

and umm, I am older than Rahdo.

Hai 3Suns… I’m currently trying to imagine a Japanese “Man-Cave” with the paper walls, low tables + pillows to sit on & hightech stuff all over the place =P it’s shaping up to quite a nice image =)

Hay! Glad to see posts from others who share the same enlightened perspective on consoles and controllers!

is common.
Japan is one of most geek-ish countries in World.
aside S Korea, Russia, and North Europe[especially Iceland].

p.s.
why do you think Akihibara[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akihabara] and Akihabara market exist in Japan ?
google about Japan culture too.

Cheers, Stroggafier! We got each other’s backs, then.

You are correct about the low table, and while we have the pillows, rice mats, and paper walls downstairs, our Man Cave upstairs has proper walls, doors and even carpet. We really need it to dampen some of the noise pollution we generate during any given Festival of Death (online gaming with our friends). Cheers!

BTW, I have lived in both Coaldale and Killam and if you recognize the names of either of those towns, I will tell you more.

(light_sh4v0r) #7

Welcome, your name makes more sense now

(brbrbr) #8

carpet ?
sounds awesome thing introduced in Japanese interiors.
Japanese cities are SO dense, but[fewer and fewer]villages are almost similar to European[in photos].

he’s an imported Euro, I doubt he has that much knowledge about Alberta

(WhiteAden) #10

I’ve heard of Coaldale… don’t underestimate my knowledge!

OK, Nail, how about this one, something from your neck of the woods. I spent all the summers of my youth at our cottage in Lake of the Woods. And, my mother is from Altona. lol Also, though it was written on the wall of a public washroom stall, I would just like to say that Kenora is not “the butthole of Canada”.

WhiteAden, I saw the Jamaicans bobsleigh at the Calgary Olympics and have their official sweater sold at that time (threadbare now). hee hee

Now, is there anyone from Supernatural British Columbia, or the State of 10,000 Lakes?

Lived in St. Paul for two semesters. Really enjoyed it, but I live far to the south now, where snow is a once in a lifetime event…

(WhiteAden) #19
