hello, the lock ness has some more questions lol

i only got 3 questions right now, ive read a tutorial on how to make a workign radio that can be blown up, it didnt work, could someoen teach me how to make one?

next is, i was trying to make an elevator, and the tutorial said i need a func_button, when i right click and go to func, there is no func_button, what do i do now?

and last, coul dosmeoen teach me some basics of scrtipting so i could add objectives to my map.

i hope some of yall will answer this, thanks

i followed that tutorial but i got a problem when i want to make a thing only able to be blown up by dynomite, but i dont have the option it says

The func_explosive has to be “constructible_class 3” to be destroyable only by dynamite.
You have to set this value in the spawn script bllock of the func_explosive.

i checked it out, but i just started doing all this last week, and im not fully confidant i know exactly what all script does or stuff

Well, if your completely new to this - then don’t expect to pick it all up in a weeks time, for most people, its takes two at least, or in my case, a couple years :wink:

There are a number of scripts that you will be dealing with - but the main one is the .script file that controls all sorts of stuff specific to your map including the round timer, objectives, spawn locations, when to end the round, etc. (This sctipt must have the same name as your map.)

Simply: The script triggers and can be triggered by events in your map and/ or itself.

check out the scripting section of the LDR, and download some example maps. Look through them carefully, and examine the their .scripts to see how they are connected.

thanks for the site, but im still having problems, i dont understand how u start scripting or how u even do it still, if someone wouldnt mind, would someoen like lead me through some small scripting like building a mg nest and to make something dynamitable?, plz

if someone will teach me the basics, ill im u so it will be easier, just let me know if u will teach, anyone at all

cause i dont understand how u put it with it, i put it in a pad and named it, but the pad became unusable, someone help
