I looked at those examples, and considering my experience with lining up backstabs in TF2, or melee attacks from behind in Tribes Ascend, I honestly think that’s pretty fair considering his role.

For a guy who’s built for sneak attacks, the timing need to be a bit loose, because the tighter and less forgiving it is, the easier it is for people to just dodge you entirely. Which is pretty frustrating since you have a limited range to use it as is, even shotguns have more range.

it would be fun if he was actually invisible when not running. The talk about the sniper scanner, it also wont let you cloak. Played a game where that was found out and opposite team just spammed scanners. Shut down the 3 phantoms on team since they could never cloak.

People need to stop acting like the katana is not the same in function as every other melee weapon. The katana is not the problem, it is fine and fits with his playstyle. The shield / effective HP he has is not.

Every melee weapon can hit multiple enemies. Every melee weapon heavy swing lets you hit multiple targets / drag to hit a target. The katana is simply a slightly better cricket bat.

Phantom shield needs to be nerfed / removed. Phantom HP should be decreased with speed increased to compensate. He is too tanky.

The hit box is screwed pretty hard on the cricket bat because it is a downward swing. If the katana is even slightly more like a slash then the hitbox would be quite better then the cricket bat.

I don’t know if I’d describe it like that, but the Katana is 10x easier to hit the heavy swing with than the bat.

How is phantom tank like? Ive yet to see a match where he doesnt die just as quickly as a skyhammer, if not quicker. He runs slower than a bloody sniper , has 120hp, and never really cloaks lololol still fun to play.
