Hello! New to this game with a question about Vassili.

I love sniping and I was wondering if there was any difference in the sniper rifles that he has or is there hardly any difference at all and I should just pick the one with the best perks?

Or what’s the consensus on which build is best?

PDP-70 is the only semi-auto sniper rifle. MoA SNPR-1 and FEL-IX is bolt action.
The difference is that PDP-70 can fire as fast as you can spam your clicks, but it also has godlike recoil if you choose to spam. It also has lower damage compared to the bolt action sniper rifles.
Also, FYI, be prepared to get mocked when playing as Vassili, since a lot of Vassili nubs don’t contribute to their team at all and usually end up at the end of the scoreboard. Just stereotype thing.

The FEL-IX is often considered inferior. It has higher damage but not enough to one shot headshot mercs that the other bolt action cannot, so it’s irrelevant. In return it fires slower, reloads slower and has less rounds per mag.

However I suggest waiting til after the balance patch tomorrow as it may change this.

I would use anything, except for the PDP. The damage is just so damn low, unless you go for bodyshots the fire rate won’t benefit you much at all.

Just use anything except the PDP, the rest all have some very nice damage to kill a lot of people with headshots. I have gotten headshots on many mercs with the PDP, and it only kills classes with 100 or less hp, it’s ridiculous. i can’t for the life of me use it, it’s so much easier to just use the FEL-IX and just one shot people.

If you don’t want to be the subject of extreme rage, do not use the PDP. It’s widely considered a cheap weapon because you don’t have to aim that much to get kills, just spam. Most experienced snipers agree that the MOA is the best, with enough to damage to instantly kill everyone but Rhino in the head.
